How to Get Started with Google My Business Audit

Follow the steps below to set up your first Google My Business Audit:
Select or Create a Project
At the top of the Insight Gainer dashboard, locate the Projects dropdown.
If you already have a project, simply select it.
If you’re new, click Create Project, enter a project name, and save.
Each project keeps your Google My Business Audit data organized and easy to track.
Open the GMB Audit Tab
From your selected project dashboard, click the GMB Audit tab. This opens the setup screen where you’ll configure your Google My Business Audit details.
Choose Your Source Type
In the Source Type dropdown, select the method you want to use:
- Place ID → Recommended for most users; easy to obtain from Google Maps.
- CID (Customer ID) → Best if you already have the unique Google CID for your business.
Tip: If unsure, start with Place ID.
Enter Your Source ID
In the Source ID field, paste your selected identifier (Place ID or CID).
This ID connects Insight Gainer to your exact Google Business Profile.
Double-check for accuracy to avoid pulling incorrect data during your Google My Business Audit.
Select Business Language
From the Language dropdown, choose the main language used in your Google Business Profile. This ensures your Google My Business Audit results reflect how customers experience your listing.
Choose Location
If your business has multiple branches, use the Location dropdown to select the exact branch you want to audit. This allows Insight Gainer to generate location-specific insights for your Google My Business Audit.
Save and Run the Audit
Once everything is set:
- Click Save.
- Insight Gainer will begin processing your Google My Business Audit.
