Understanding Search Results

- Examine the data columns such as “Intent,” “Volume,” “CPC” (Cost Per Click), and “KD” (Keyword Difficulty) to evaluate each keyword’s potential impact on your SEO strategy. “Intent” is color-coded for quick reference: ‘N’ (navigational), ‘T’ (transactional), ‘C’ (commercial), or ‘I’ (informational).
Analyzing Keyword Difficulty and Search Trends
- The “Keyword Difficulty” gauge gives a score out of 100 to help you assess how challenging it would be to rank for the primary keyword.
- The “Search Intent” label provides insight into the primary reason people search for this keyword, for instance, “navigational.”
- Observe the “Monthly Search Volume” graph, which displays the search frequency of the keyword over a given time span to identify trends and seasonality.
SERP Overview
- If you want a more in-depth analysis of a specific result click the “Analyze SERP” button.
- Below the “Keyword Difficulty” section, you’ll find the “SERP Overview.”
- This area displays the top-ranking pages for the keyword, their titles, and URLs, offering a quick snapshot of who your competitors might be.
- Take note of the “Rank” on the far right to see the position of each result in the SERP.
